Jo Ann Perdikakis
Vice-President & Treasurer
I am Vice-President & Treasurer of Gus Perdikakis Associates Inc (GPA). I attended the University of Cincinnati and earned an Associate Degree in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Secondary Education certified to teach English and Basic Business. Post Graduate work has been entirely in contemporary American authors including Fitzgerald, Faulkner, Hemingway and O’Hara. Upon completion of college, I taught English to Juniors at Woodward High School.
Gus and I started GPA (Gus Perdikakis Technical Consultants Incorporated, as it was called then) together with one other employee on January 29, 1979. I handled all financial activities; from invoicing, receivables, payables, payroll, human resources and have taken on various other roles, as they presented themselves. From the onset of our company, I have played a large role in the design and all around “aura” of GPA. Interior design has always been a passion of mine and I have been able to indulge that love at GPA along with the financial responsibilities I have.
GPA has always felt like another child to Gus and I and it has always been a labor of love for me. We both grew up with Greek parents who worked together in the restaurant businesses they owned therefore it seemed really natural for Gus and I to create something together…and hence GPA was born.
We also created our loving family together. We have three children, Lynn, Mandie and George. We have three grandchildren, Gus Constantine, who is Lynn’s son, William Milo and Henry Apollo, who are George’s sons.
I have been involved in many activities with Holy Trinity St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church including choir, teaching Sunday school, president of Mother’s Club and co-chairing our Paneyeri Greek festival. Once you get to know me, you’ll know I love Bob Dylan’s music as well as music in general. I also thoroughly enjoy good literature, all of the arts, history, politics, travel and my practice of yoga.
